JugendPolitCamp

Every year, around Easter, I participate in the JugendPolitCamp. It's a barcamp for young people which offers a platform to discuss various political topics. For me, it's one of the best events every year and I can't wait for the next one. Over the years, some problems have accumulated. Many of them are a result of the attendance of frequenter(including me). With such a group in place, newcomers may feel intimidated, preventing them from participating. This is especially a problem for shy and/or young teenagers. In addition, having a fixed group of people makes it really hard for newcomers to connect, chat and interact with others. They are always at risk of feeling excluded.

Last weekend, we had a meet-up with the other JPC organizer to discuss and solve this and some other issues. I really hope next years JPC will be even better. Oh, and we finally started working on a code of conduct. :)

UPDATE: Due to covid-19 the event got cancled this year :( The ABC Huell
